"Flash Rosenberg, the New York Public Library's artist-in-residence, characterizes herself as the kind of social commentator who couldn't have been possible before the Internet. Before, illustrations could take days, if not weeks, to render. Today, the real-time Web is spawning a demand for real-time illustration; Rosenberg draws what other people talk about—while they're talking"
Eating like a Tenement Family (January 2009)
The Tenement Museum gave me a lovely mention on their blog:
"Talk about dedication: New York-based artist Sarah Lohman is spending this week eating as though she was an 1870s tenement dweller.
Lohman was inspired by an 1877 pamphlet titled Fifteen Cent Dinners, which includes a meal plan to feed a family of six for $3 dollars a week, or $57 in today's money.
Lohman's tenement diet has included Boiled Rice with Scalded Milk and Broth and Bread. MMMM! Future treats will include an apple, which Sarah will eat because she "would like to poop sometime this week."

T.I.M.E for a Successful Career (April 2008)
My alma mater, the Cleveland Institute of Art, publishes a quarterly magazine called Link. This spring, they did a feature article on successful graduates from the Digital Arts major, including myself!
The Test of Time. (May 2005)
Cleveland Plain Dealer article published on my Bachelor's of Fine Arts thesis project, Jump in the Pan. Jump in the Pan was a fully functional, temporary restaurant that dealt with art and American history.
Art Cares Billboard. (March 2005)
The Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art hosts a yearly AIDS Task Forces event, ART Cares. They offer a selection of work from Cleveland Institute of Art students to the event's sponsors to be shown on billboards and other promotional material. My photograph of the enchanting Fukiko was picked by MAC make-up. This billboard was prominently displayed on Carnegie avenue, across from the museum.
Camp Out at Camp Cleveland.
(Sept 2005)
I organized a group of students for an evening of "Urban Camping:" we spent the night in an empty lot in the middle of Tremont, a historical section of Cleveland. The particular lot on which we were stationed was the site of Camp Cleveland, a Civil War training camp during the 1860s. The local paper wrote an article on the event.
